What are the Fundació Tàpies hours?
Closed for works for about three months from 13 October 2026. Check museutapies.org for the reopening date before you plan a visit. When open: Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–19:00, Sunday 10:00–15:00, closed Mondays, and closed 1 and 6 January and 25 and 26 December. When can you visit the Camp Nou Museum?
The rebuilt stadium reopened in November 2025 and tours restarted on 27 January 2026. Hours change with the season and on match days, so check the official FC Barcelona site for your date.

How should you plan your Barcelona museum visits?
The Monday survival guide
Most museums close on Mondays. On a Barcelona Monday, your options are: Moco (open daily), Sagrada Família (open daily, varies by season), Camp Nou (tours most days, check match days), Park Güell (open daily, timed entry), Casa Batlló and La Pedrera (Gaudí houses, open daily). MACBA also closes Tuesdays — so Monday + Tuesday in Barcelona is the worst possible 48 hours for state museums. Save the Picasso, MNAC, Miró, and Tàpies for Wednesday onwards.

The free-museum strategy by day of week
Saturday afternoon is the highest-value free combo of the week. MNAC is free from 3 PM (until 6 PM winter / 8 PM summer), with an online booking, and MACBA from 6 to 8 PM. Book the MNAC slot first, see it from 3 PM, then cross town for MACBA's last two hours. If you have one half-day for free Barcelona art, that is the push.
First Sundays are free at MNAC, MACBA and Picasso — but they're also the most crowded slot of the month. Miró and Tàpies don't take part. If you're going on a first Sunday, prioritize MACBA (big rooms, no booking lottery) over Picasso (sells out, narrow medieval rooms feel like rush hour).
Thursday winter 4–7 PM is the calmest free Picasso slot. Three-hour window, mostly local crowd, much more manageable than first Sundays. Book the slot 4 days ahead at 10 AM Barcelona time at museupicassobcn.cat.
Booking priority order (peak season April–October)
- Sagrada Família — book 7+ days ahead, more in 2026 (Gaudí Year). Tower access slots sell out first.
- Park Güell — 5–7 days ahead in spring/summer.
- Casa Batlló — 3–5 days ahead.
- Picasso Museum — 4–7 days ahead for paid slots, exactly 4 days for free slots (10 AM release).
- Everything else (MNAC, MACBA, Miró, Moco) — usually walk-in friendly for paid visits; MNAC's free slots need a booking.
Articket vs individual tickets — the math
The Articket BCN (€38) covers Picasso (€14), MNAC (€12), Miró (€18), MACBA (€15), Tàpies (€15), and CCCB (€8) with priority access at all six (not on free slots), valid 12 months. Total individual cost: €82. Break-even at 3 museums (any 3 of those six = €34–€48 individual). Tàpies is closed for about three months from 13 October 2026. If you're seeing 3+ from that list, Articket wins. If you're only doing Picasso + Sagrada + Park Güell, Articket is wasted spend — those last two aren't included.
2026 Gaudí Year considerations
2026 is the Gaudí centenary. Special exhibitions, increased crowds at every Gaudí site, and a few one-off programs at MNAC and the Diocesan Museum. If you can't be flexible on dates, book Gaudí sites the day you book your flights — slots that used to be available 3 days ahead are now gone 7 days ahead.
