Privacy Policy
What Art Visit Guide collects, why, and how to ask us to delete it.
Art Visit Guide (artvisitguide.com) is a small, independent publication. This page covers what we collect, why, and how to ask us to stop.
What we collect
If you subscribe by email. We use Brevo to send museum guides and updates. We store your email address, your first name if you gave one, which page and guide you signed up for, your city if the form asked for one, and where you came from (referrer). You can unsubscribe from any email we send, or by emailing us directly. We also send ourselves a push notification through ntfy.sh so we know someone signed up; that notification contains your email address and which page you signed up from.
If you accept the cookie banner. Three measurement tools load, and only after you click "Accept":
- Google Analytics, to see which guides get read and from where — page views, approximate location (country/city level), device type.
- Meta's pixel, which tells us whether our own Instagram posts and ads bring people here. If you have a Meta account, Meta can match the visit to it. We don't use it to show you ads on this site, because we don't sell ad space at all.
- GetYourGuide's partner analytics, which measures how the ticket links on our guides perform. It sets its own cookies and sends data to GetYourGuide.
If you click "Reject" or ignore the banner, none of the three load, and the only cookie set is a small essential one (avg_consent) to remember your choice.
If you buy a planned itinerary. You give us your arrival and departure dates and your pace preference, and an email address to send the plan to. Payment goes through Stripe; we don't see or store your card details. We keep your dates and preferences only as long as it takes to plan your itinerary and answer any follow-up questions, then delete them.
If you click a booking link. Guides link out to GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Viator for tickets. Clicking one of those links takes you to their site, where their own cookies and privacy policy apply — we don't control or see what they collect. We do log that the click happened (which link, which guide) so we know which guides drive bookings; we don't see whether you completed a purchase.
Always, regardless of consent. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to serve the pages and to block attacks. We can't turn that off; it's how the site reaches you at all.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't show ads on this site. We don't share your email address with GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Viator, or with anyone else.
Your rights
Email adria@artvisitguide.com to ask what we hold on you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We reply within 48 hours.
You can change your mind about the cookie banner at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. The banner comes back on your next visit and nothing loads until you answer it again.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date below and, for subscribers, say so in an email.
