Anne Frank House Tickets 2026
€16.50, online only, and the hardest ticket in Amsterdam. The exact Tuesday booking system explained — and what to do when it's sold out.
Anne Frank House tickets cost €16.50 and are only sold on the museum's official website. No walk-ins, no door sales, no third-party resellers. Every visitor books a timed slot online — and in summer, the best slots disappear within minutes of going on sale.
The system is specific and it's worth knowing before you try to book.
How much are Anne Frank House tickets in 2026?
All tickets are online only with timed entry.
- Adults: €16.50
- Children 10–17: €7
- Children under 10: €1
- Introductory programme (30 min, included): €23.50 adults / €14 (ages 10–17) / €8 (under 10)
- Museumkaart: not valid at Anne Frank House
- I Amsterdam City Card: not included
The introductory programme runs before your timed entry and covers the historical context of the occupation. Worth considering with older children or if you're visiting without prior knowledge of Anne Frank's story.
Where to book
Our take: Anne Frank House only sells through its own site. No third-party has official allocations. If you see tickets on a resale site at inflated prices, those are unofficial and the museum may refuse entry.
The Tuesday booking system
Every Tuesday at 10:00 AM CEST, all tickets for the same week six weeks later go on sale. This is the main release — around 80% of daily capacity.
In summer (June–August): have the booking page open before 9:55 AM. When 10:00 hits, the 9:00 AM and first morning slots sell out in 2–3 minutes. If 9 AM is gone, don't refresh hunting for it — grab an evening slot immediately. The 18:00–22:00 window is often available longest and delivers a quieter, more contemplative visit.
In winter (November–February): the Tuesday sprint isn't necessary. Tickets often remain available for days or weeks after release.
What to do if it's sold out
Try same-day availability. The museum releases 20% of capacity at 9:00 AM on the day of your intended visit. In winter this works well. In summer it's a sprint — set a reminder for 8:55 AM and refresh from 9:00.
Check for cancellations mid-week. Slots occasionally open up as people cancel. There's no set time — just refresh the booking page periodically in the days before your visit.
Consider the Jewish Cultural Quarter combo (€30, valid one week). It covers five nearby sites: the National Holocaust Museum (opened 2024), the Dutch Resistance Museum, the Jewish Historical Museum, the Portuguese Synagogue, and Hollandsche Schouwburg. It won't replace standing in the Annex, but it gives significant historical depth as an alternative or complement.
The Anne Frank statue at Westerkerk, metres from the house, is free. And annefrank.org has a 25-minute VR tour of the Annex — a decent fallback if you can't get in.
Avoid fraudulent booking sites
The Anne Frank House has explicitly flagged multiple websites with similar URLs that sell fake tickets. The only legitimate booking page is annefrank.org. If you're redirected anywhere else or asked to pay a booking fee on top of the standard price, exit and go back to the official site.
Practical details
Opening hours: daily 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM (last entry 9:00 PM). Open every day of the year.
Arrival: arrive at least 10 minutes before your time slot. The museum is strict — missing your window means you're out. The entrance is at Westermarkt 20, Amsterdam.
Visit time: about 1 hour. The audio guide is free via the Anne Frank House app — download it before you go.
Accessibility: the Secret Annex is not accessible. Entry requires three steep staircases (12, 14, and 16 steps each), plus one step of 39 cm. Wheelchair users can visit the modern wing — temporary exhibition, café, and shop — with staff assistance. The museum provides a detailed accessibility PDF on its website.
